#2 Desert League seeded VVHS Boys Basketball Beat Pahrump Valley on Monday, February 15th, for the first round of the NIAA 3A Southern Regional Tournament. They won 56-52. The next game is Wednesday, February 16th at 6:30 pm against the top seed from the Mountain League, Boulder City who beat Somerset Sky Pointe 54-48. The game will be held at Boulder City High School.



#2 Desert League seeded VVHS Girls Basketball play tonight, February 15th at 6:30 pm against SLAM (Sports Leadership and Management Academy). They will play at Virgin Valley High School. If they win they will play again 6:30 pm on Thursday, February 17th. They will play the winner of top seed Pahrump Valley and Southeast Career Tech. Location depends on winner of games, as the higher seed hosts.



The #1 Nevada Girls Flag Football Team blanked Eldorado last night 57-0, in the first round of the NIAA 3A State Playoffs. The Bulldog girls had 6 interceptions with 2 going the distance for the scores. They move on to play SLAM who beat Spring Valley 32-12. The matchup will be played Wednesday, February 16th at 6:00 pm at Evan Wilson Stadium at Virgin Valley High School. If they win then they will move on to the State Championships against the winner of Moapa Valley and Boulder City.



The Bulldog Wrestling Team qualified 8 people for state at the Southern Regional Tournament for NIAA 3A Division. They took 3rd place as a team in Regions behind Boulder City and a very strong Pahrump Valley (who won the Regional Championship). The State Tournament is Saturday, February 19th starting at 9:00 am and will be hosted by Boulder City High School.



The Virgin Valley Future Farmers of America (FFA) raised over $1000 from their Valentine’s Candy Bouquet Fundraiser to help them pay entry fees for the FFA State Competitions. The FFA State Competitions are in March with around 30 students attending.
