The Nonprofit Organization, R.A.I.S.E. Mesquite (Raising Awareness, Involvement, Support, and Engagement) along with the City of Mesquite Department of Athletics and Leisure Services had a good turnout for their “Wheely” Good Time decorating contest. On July 4th, starting at 8:00 am on the West Field of the Mesquite Recreation Center at 100 Old Mill Road.

Red, White, and Blue adorned bicycles, skateboards, and everyone who attended. Everyone decorated and brought their masterpieces of decorations to be judged. The winners were announced and won a variety of prizes, including 2 bikes valued at about $900 donated by All in Cycles, the local bike shop.

The big winners of the 2 bikes were Aolani Baker and Braylon Morrow. The Morrow family in fact won big as several of the prizes were won by the members of the Morrows.
