Las Vegas, NV-
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department just released a statement that the second set of human remains found at Lake Mead on Saturday, May 7th at approximately 2:00 pm have “no evidence of foul play.”
The National Park Service will be investigating the case of the second human remains found unless “it is determined to be a homicide or a suspicious death.” However, for the moment it is under the jurisdiction of the National Park Service for the investigation. The Clark County Coroner’s Office will be evaluating the remains to fully confirm if foul play is involved or not.
The identity of the deceased person will be released once the Clark County Coroner’s Office is able to make the identification. They will also release the cause and mode of death at that time. This is an open investigation and will be updated as more information is released.
