Bebrave Athletics is hosting the 2022 annual state championship for SUTA, States United Tumbling Association, on Saturday, April 23rd, at their new location at 473 W. Mesquite Blvd. The SUTA trampoline and tumbling competition are for young athletes from ages 4 to 17 who will compete in three events: floor routine, trampoline, and double mini-trampoline (a smaller sized angled trampoline.)

Clubs from southern Utah and Mesquite bring athletes together once per month to compete from October-April, with the State competition being the final and biggest competition of the season. SUTA will award “Athlete of the Year” and multiple awards will go to overall winners in each event and age category to those athletes who have scored the highest throughout the season.

As current president of SUTA, owner Haylee Benglan is excited to bring this event to her new space and to the Mesquite community!

“Competition is just one part of training. Bebrave helps young athletes emotionally and physically by giving them an outlet to express themselves physically and explore talents they never would have been able to explore,” explains Benglan.

Spectators pay at the door and the cost is $5 per person. Levels 1-3 go in the morning from 9:00 am -11:30 am PST. The Parade of Athletes is at 12:00 noon PST, followed by levels 3-8 competing from 12:30-3:30 pm PST.

Shannon Drollinger, a parent of a Bebrave athlete, says, “I am a lot newer here than many, and I am still learning what Mesquite has to offer our family. I got very lucky to have found Bebrave, my little girl has been obsessed with getting into gymnastics for a long time. The ladies are so kind and truly care about every child that enters their gym. They’ve been here making a real difference in our kids’ lives!”
