Nearly every seat at the Mesquite Community Theatre was filled as the Mesquite Toes Spring Spectacular this past weekend. The annual event is a community favorite, and features talented dancers, fabulous costumes, lively music, and showcased performers who demonstrated that “some things do get better with age!”

The Mesquite Toes Tap, Clogging and Jazz teams performed two performances this weekend to nearly sold-out audiences at both performances. The first performance was Friday, April 8th, at 7:00 pm and the second performance was Saturday, April 9th, at 1:00 pm. The performances took place at the Mesquite Community Theatre located at 150 N Yucca Street.
Several area dance groups also did numbers, including the Mesquite Recreation Center Life Long Dancers, the Sun River Dancers, and the VVettes.Everyone in the audience had lots of fun with the crowd expressing their enjoyment of the performances with applause and shouts of acclamation.

The Mesquite Toes have been performing since the early 2000s within Mesquite and neighboring communities, but are now officially a non-profit organization that focuses on the benefits of dance for health, but most importantly promoting the concept of “age is just a number” and to celebrate life and live life!
After a captivating and magical performance, the Mesquite Toes now will be offering Adult Tap and Clog Classes. The Classes begin on April 18 & 19, 2022.
