We have been working on this since the beginning of the year, but it has finally come time to make it happen. We are still needing financial support for the awards, which include a customized dog tag necklace for the athletes and other Top Dawgs. If interested in sponsoring the Top Dawg awards given out weekly to the top athletes and other high school students, we in turn give advertisement for sponsorships. Call us at (702) 286-5469 or email vrtmedia2021@gmail.com with the Subject “Top Dawg”. We will award one Male Top Dawg and one Female Top Dawg.

She began playing T-Ball at the age of four and Minor Girls Softball at 5. Her first club team played on was “the Dawgs.” This team was an 8U team out of Arizona. She has shown a love of the game since she began playing and watching her older sister play throughout high school and college.

Ana is not only a gifted athlete in softball but also plays football, basketball, has competed as a competitive swimmer since a young age, and grew up playing soccer here in Mesquite.

She also can be found playing several different instruments in the VVHS Marching Band and Jazz Band. Instruments she plays include drums, saxophone, guitar, piano, and she even writes music.

Ana moved to Mesquite in the third grade and participated in the ELKS National Hoop Shoot, where she has gone to state. She also won the punt, pass, and kick competition in San Francisco as a 9-year old and then took 28th on the national level.

She is the youngest of four children and loves her family very much. She wants to continue her softball career playing in college and has not yet decided where she wants to go. She has not chosen a career but is thinking about Sports Medicine and becoming an athletic trainer. She also is considering joining the US Coast Guard.

Ana has the best friends and family that support her in everything she does. She feels very blessed to be here in Mesquite and a part of VVHS Class of 2024.
