
The final performance of the melodrama Wedding Bell Blues (or How the Virgin Valley Got Its Groove On) will be tonight, Saturday, March 26th, at 7:00 at the Mesquite Community Theatre, 150 North Yucca Street in Mesquite. The original Musical Melodrama has run since March 11 to enthusiastic audiences. Virgin Valley Theatre Group president, Pam Sadler, remarks, “Our production of Wedding Bell Blues is community theatre at its finest!” Written by the local creative duo of Nancy Arnold ad Susan Kjellsen, the cast and crew are all friends ands neighbors right here in Mesquite and Beaver Dam. Director Nancy Arnold adds, “All of the money raised from ticket sales goes directly to the theatre to cover the cost of costumes props, and materials for the set. One of our goals is to raise enough money to upgrade the sound system.”With plenty of audience participation, laughter, and favorite tunes, audience members leave humming and smiling!
