Mesquite, NV-

As it has become a regular pattern, the Southbound I-15 Freeway became backed up about 5 hours ago at approximately 1:30 pm and has continued to be very slow and backed up traffic past Mesquite to Beaver Dam.

Also, the Northbound of I-15 has become slow as several people are headed back to Utah, Idaho, and Colorado from the weekend in Las Vegas or California.

The back road via Riverside Road through Bunkerville to the Bunkerville exit at mm 112 has also gotten congested. Expect the Southbound to be congested and slow-progressing up until past the cones on the hill up the Mesa until 10-11 pm tonight.

As for the Northbound, it most likely will still be moving but at slower speeds with more traffic until about 9 pm as the weekend traffic back to Utah continues.

The construction of the Beaver Dam overpass is scheduled to continue until 2024. The construction southbound of Mesquite does not have a scheduled date of completion but is estimated to be until the end of this year or the beginning of 2023.

Best times to travel have been found to be early morning in between midnight and 6 am and then about 11 am until 2 pm.
