Mesquite, NV-

A little before 3:00 pm, a Black Ford Excursion hit a small white pickup truck pulling out to turn North on Sandhill Blvd from 1st North St. The driver of the Black Excursion called police while the two in the small white pickup truck were calling family.

The accident was witnessed by a few at AutoZone and the Chief Editor of the Virgin River Times, Nick Yamashita, who ran over and checked up on the people involved in the accident and then stayed to direct traffic. The accident was right in front of the American Family Insurance office located at 61 N Sandhill Blvd.

Luckily, no injuries were prevalent at the time. The scene was not cleared for approximately over 40 minutes as Mesquite Police Officers and Mesquite Fire and Rescue responded on scene, as well as investigation was done. 

The accident was cleared off the road and both Southern lanes on N Sandhill were open with traffic resuming at approximately 3:45 pm.
