To help celebrate Valentine’s Day and the achievement by the Nonprofit Organization of the Year, the Women’s History and Culture Center was notified by the Virgin River Times as an effort to “Spread the Love” by doing a Facebook Page “Follow Us” Fundraiser.
In Response to the big award from the Chamber of Commerce, the WHCC Founder and Chairman of the Board Jean Watkins stated, “We are so very honored and pleased to receive this award, marking a year of hard work, community support, outreach, and initiatives that benefit the community and many targeted labors of love.”
In an interview with the Virgin River Times, WHCC President Carol Saldivar was grateful for the scheduled “Spread the Love Campaign.”
“We are so proud of this award and it is so neat to be able to have local people and businesses help us continue to provide the services of the Women’s Center by their efforts of fundraising, donations, and volunteer time,” said Saldivar. “We are very honored to have this campaign to help us in our continued service for the community.”
Carol Saldivar also mentioned how Jean Watkins always talks and mentions how this accomplishment and success of the Women’s Center is due to “efforts of many people. It’s a combined effort of many people since our opening in 2018. Our volunteers, our class facilitators, our board members, our community and our community partners have all played a part. We cannot do what we do without the time and talents of those that support us in so many ways!”
