Clark County, NV –
Breaking news-
Clark County School District Superintendent Jesus Jara announced late Tuesday afternoon that all schools in Clark County under the school district will cancel school for the next 5 business days. The district has named it a “pause” and the letter read “Due to the extreme staffing shortages based on the high number of positive COVID-19 cases, the District is adjusting the 2021-2022 District calendar to provide a five-day pause in alignment with the COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation Guidance.”
All sports, practices, after-school activities, clubs and anything else is cancelled and will not happen during the “pause”.
Employees will work from home during the “pause” as they will have staff contingency days during these five days. The days of February 7th and April 25th, previously contingency day and a staff development day are now full instruction days.
Students and staff will report back to school on January 19th for regular instruction. Sports and other after-school activities will also resume at that time.
