Las Vegas, NV –

At about 6 p.m. on Monday on January 10th, reports came in of an accident near milemarker 20 by Sloan.

Nevada Highway Trooper Ashlee Wellman stated a red Cadillac was traveling Northbound in the Southbound Lane and collided with a Toyota truck head-on. This resulted in the death of all three occupants of the Toyota after it caught fire.

The driver of the Cadillac was pronounced dead on the accident scene and identified as a woman. Preliminary investigation identified evidence that the woman wa impaired.

Trooper Wellman reported a semi-truck swerved to avoid the Cadillac, as did a three other vehicles. The drivers in two if the vehicles run off the road were taken to University Medical Center in unknown condition, but were stable. The semi driver was not injured along with the driver of a red truck who also just missed being hit by the wrong-way driver.

Vehicles are exiting at Sloan and being rerouted to Las Vegas Blvd.
