The Virgin River Times is happy to announce a recent development, a partnership with Virgin Valley High School which was officially achieved on Friday, January 7, 2021.

The partnership will entail the Virgin River Times to help cover sports and recreational activities, as well as all news pertaining to the High School. The Virgin River Times has already announced a week earlier “The Bulldog Beat” which will be a page dedicated to updated and current news pertaining to the school. Along with that, the Virgin River Times will also have full “Meet the Team” pages which will highlight each sport and recreational clubs that pertain to the school.

Lastly, the Virgin River Times and the administration and personnel of Virgin Valley High School is working out the details of an “internship” and career exploration program in which students of Virgin Valley High School, especially in the publications and English classes will be able to intern at the Virgin River Times. This internship and career exploration will entail learning about writing for a media source, photography, video camera, podcasting, interviewing skills, and more within the media and news field.

“This will be so good for our students,” stated VVHS Principal Riley Frei.

The Virgin River Times newly named Manager, Nick Yamashita was ecstatic about the partnership.

“We are so excited to provide this service to the high school and the youth of the community. Our goal is to make the Virgin River Times all about the community and bring the community together,” exclaimed Yamashita.

The owners of the Virgin River Times, David and Liz Bounsall, also expressed excitement. “This is exciting and will be so beneficial for the youth,” said Liz Bounsall.
