As we move into the final countdown to Christmas, I’m looking into more and more last minute amazing local options for gift ideas. I stopped into The Front Porch Flowers and Gifts and was absolutely charmed by their beautiful and unique stock. I spoke with their very friendly and personable manager Keely Watkins to learn more about the products and services they offer.

Keely took me on a tour of the store where I had the pleasure of watching one of her floral designers, Burgundy Felix, put together a lovely vase arrangement, as well as getting to see a work in progress of Keelys, a beautiful holiday wreath. The Front Porch not only hires experienced floral designers, but they give their employees the chance to train on the job if they want to expand their skills and move on from Customer Service Rep too. Keely herself started as a CSR, and moved to floral designer before moving into management.

I missed meeting the owner, Charleen Hadden, but Keely spoke very highly of her and her ability to not only build beautiful and elaborate floral designs, but Charleen is also the one responsible for the eye-catching displays on the sales floor. The store is on the smaller side, with a pretty expansive stock considering, but instead of looking crowded and cluttered Charleen arranges everything so that it flows together, while maintaining the separation of the individual displays. Charleen gets a large part of her gift shop from The World Market a few times a year while they are in Vegas, a rotating selection of vendors to keep their stock fresh and unique, as well as the occasional item by a local artist. They like their stock to have a one of a kind feel so that every piece you buy feels more personal for the recipient. Right now they have a wonderful selection of holiday themed items. They have some hand painted ornaments, nick nacks, candles, lotions, candy, holiday wreaths, even a couple beautiful menorahs. It was a pleasure wandering the store while we spoke.There are so many treasures to discover!

Not only does The Front Porch offer a charming selection of gifts and flowers, but they offer event planning too! Charleen and her staff don’t just create every kind of flower option imaginable including bouquets, wreaths, centerpieces, corsages, etc., but Charleen also works as an event coordinator. She can coordinate any kind of party or event imaginable. She has coordinated everything from city events to weddings.
