Today at 2:00 pm at Lake Mead Christian Academy in Henderson, the Boys Basketball team for Virgin Valley High School is playing for 3rd place in the Lake Mead Holiday Classic.

Last night was a rough got as they were playing in the Semifinals against a very quick and talented SLAM Bulls team. They played hard and came within 5 an 4th period with just under 5 minutes to go but some miscues, turnovers, and a technical foul called against one Bulldog player switched the momentum and the Bulls gored the Bulldogs to make the Championship. 58-69 was the final score.

The Bulldogs take on Fernley Vaqueros who last night were killed by the Boulder City Eagles, losing by over 20 points.

Other news is the SLAM Bulls take on Boulder City Eagles for the Championship at 6:30 pm. All games are at LMCA southe campus (Elementary school).

As for rival news, the MVHS Pirates lost to Fernley Thursday night and then lost a thriller in OT to the host Lake Mead Christian Academy, 61-65. They played Somerset at 8 am this morning. Results are not in yet.
