45 You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.”

There are many reasons why God’s blessings don’t always come to pass in a person’s life, but the most frequent cause is simply unbelief on our part. There are no limitations on God’s power; He can do anything that he has promised. The problem is with us and our lack of faith!

Faith is a gift that God has given to every believer. (Rom. 12:3) The Holy Spirit plants this fruit deep within our hearts, (Gal. 5:22)  but we must choose each day whether or not we will exercise it by speaking out in the midst of adversity with words full of hope and courage.

The Bible explains how our faith is linked to knowledge. (2 Pet. 1:1-4) What we think about will shape who that person becomes and the way they behave. (Pro. 23:7) The problem comes in when people don’t keep their minds focused on God’s Word; then, it chokes out any hope of faith working for them because this life takes up all of a person’s time. (Mk. 4:19)

Keeping our minds focused on God’s Word is the most powerful way to release faith. It was this type of commitment from Mary, who placed no other priorities before His word and scripture, that led her to see the greatest miracle in history. A virgin giving birth to God incarnate.

Mary saw the realization of what she believed. We receive the word that God speaks to us, not our own thoughts or desires as we might think. Today believe His words for you and do so with all your heart! It will change your life as it changed Mary’s.
