Luke 1:41

New Living Translation

41 At the sound of Mary’s greeting, Elizabeth’s child leaped within her, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.

In the Bible, the man John the Baptist is the only one who was filled with the Holy Spirit from his mother’s womb. He leaped for joy inside her womb when he heard Mary greet him. It’s no coincidence that Jesus called him the greatest of all Old Testament prophets. (Lk. 7:28)

The anointing of God that breaks every yoke is simply the manifest presence and working of the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 10:27). The Holy Spirit is one part in a trinity that empowers us for service.

God didn’t ask us to live for Him, but to let Him live through us (Gal 2:20). The Christian life isn’t a changed life but an exchanged life, which can only be accomplished when we’re led and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Even Jesus didn’t begin his ministry until he was anointed with the Holy Spirit. How much more do we need to depend on Him daily?

I never knew how much I could love God until He was living through me. This is the way it should be, with Him inside of us and giving our lives meaning every day.

Today, be conscious of the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in you. Expect Him to supernaturally guide and empower you.

If you ask, He will give (Luke 11:9-13).

If you obey Him, He will honor you (John 14:15).

As an instrument of the Holy Spirit, may your life be a vessel for His spirit. You’ll love what happens when we allow the Spirit to control us!

God bless you. Never let go of this great truth.

Blessings!
